Low-exposure X-rays and the all new DIAGNOcam Imaging, a no-Xray Diagnostic Tool

Low Exposure Digital X-Rays

Our state-of-the-art “green” dental centre located in the heart of Brisbane is equipped with low-exposure digital X-ray technology which has dramatically improved the safety of our patients and staff.

  • Ninety percent less radiation is emitted compared to traditional film X-rays used in the past. Since digital X-rays do not use traditional film, harmful waste and chemicals are no longer ejected into the environment.
  • We choose to take fewer X-rays than most dental practices, we only take them when necessary and this will be discussed with you beforehand.

DIAGNOcam

Our new DIAGNOcam, which uses harmless infra-red light and not X-rays, assists us in detecting decay and deterioration in areas where traditional X-rays do not work well.
DIAGNOcam imagery also produces clearer, more detailed and immediate images which are projected onto a screen for on-the-spot dental diagnosis.

Modern “MOUTHcam” photography uses a tiny camera to project images of your teeth and mouth magnified onto a screen. This provides an opportunity for Dr Zabik to give you a guided tour of your mouth and detect potential problems that cannot be identified by the human eye in a visual assessment. This may include tiny cavities, chips, cracks or breaks on teeth as well as tumours, cysts or abscesses.

From here, Dr. Marhfour can prepare a tailored treatment plan, your personalised dental plan, for you and discuss alternative options so that you are informed and can achieve the best outcome for your overall health.

Schedule a dental assessment with Dr. Marhfour today by calling us on (07) 3210 2055 if you are experiencing any toothaches, sensitivities or other dental issues. A comprehensive examination can mean preventing and detecting dental problems early, without the need for extensive treatment.
